Thinking for Learning is a new 19 hour course running for all year 7 pupils. Pupils will have one TfL lesson a fortnight. The aim of the course is to teach all pupils the skills which will help them to learn well in all their subjects and outside school as well.

The course was devised by a group of Bassaleg teachers and focuses on building pupils' skills in the following areas:
