Why should we use them ?

- The whole class can easily see what's happening.
- Acts as an electronic 'flipchart'.
- Offers an on screen keyboard that allows you to enter text or data into any application.
- Research has found that children appear to be highly motivated during a whiteboard lesson.
- The board accomodates the different learning styles. Tactile learners can benefit from touching and marking the board, audio learners benefit from class discussion and sounds, and visual learners benefit from what they see on the board (colours, moving / still images, text).
- Easy to save any notes or diagrams generated in the lesson and use again.
- Is an effective means of enabling pupils to present and discuss their personal work.
- Enhances presentations by easily integrating text, audio, graphics, video and animation.
- Offers an easy and effective means of demonstrating software.
- Pupils with limited motor skills or young children enjoy using the board. Because of the large format it maybe easier to 'tap' the board rather than clicking the mouse.
- Children appear to love using the board at every opportunity.
